Wow. I have survived three weeks of my first professional experience. I was able to use YouTube, Digital Cameras, Video recorder, IWB, Computer, Laptop and a few other ICT’s into teaching. I would have liked to do a bit more with ICT but unfortunately the context didn’t allow it.
For my assignment I am doing 5 sequential lessons on poems, the students explored a website with all different types of poems on it and came up with their favourites to share with the class. They then used this website to make their own poems which were put onto a class blog. The students then remembered one poem and recited it to the class at the end of the week. We recorded it on a video camera and played it back to them on an IWB as a reflection. Worked fantastically!

I found that the children loved working on the computer and they still had to write down their poems to say in front of class so outlines of ACARA were being met. Fawn Davis has spoken about how ICT has engaged her children as well, it’s great to see.
